Project Associate

Position Summary:
The DFO is looking for a talented, and self-motivated Project Associate to join their team. The Project Associate will be responsible for all aspects of the team’s project management goals and will play an integral role in managing key processes and procedures, as well as inter and intra departmental coordination and administration. If you have a desire to learn and grow as well as develop your project and process management skills and toolkit, this could be an ideal fit. Excellent service orientation, assertive communication and problem perception are critical as you partner with others across our organization in designing and implementing models, processes, and reporting to support ongoing tax initiatives and improve their effectiveness. As the DFO is an evolving entity, you must be able to thrive in fast-paced, fluid environment and be comfortable navigating ambiguity.
Day-to-day responsibilities would include a combination of the following:
- Management of inter and intra-departmental communication, and deadline management as it relates to external entities.
- Management coordination and administrative support of the department including:
- Managing trackers
- Preparing Metrics
- Managing budgets
- Tracking, monitoring and reporting of all department projects
- Manage several small to medium projects concurrently and provide leverage on large projects including risk identification, schedule timing, task and dependency management, budget management, project charters and closeout
- Liaise between project team and stakeholders to ensure deliverables are adequately met and convey regular status reports

Qualifications:
- At least 3 years' experience working in a role involving project management, independently managing small to medium size projects
- Ideally has exposure to process management and project management methodologies or a desire to learn the methodologies
- Experience with managing processes and projects with multiple stakeholders
- Fundamental knowledge of finance or tax is a plus
- An interest in financial and tax processes
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business or a similar field of study
Compensation:
Compensation for the role includes a competitive salary in the range from $65,000 to $130,000 (inclusive of a merit-based bonus, dependent on years of experience, level of education obtained, as well as applicable skillset) and an excellent benefits package, including a comprehensive employer paid medical plan and generous employer match for 401k.
