Project Controls Specialist

$21 – $27 per hour

TLDR

Support forecasting, scheduling, budgeting, and performance tracking across multiple initiatives to help ensure timely, scoped, and on-budget project delivery.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Controls Specialist (Entry Level) to support project forecasting, scheduling, budgeting, and performance tracking across multiple initiatives. The ideal candidate will assist in ensuring projects are executed on time, within scope, and within budget by supporting project control processes.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules using tools such as Excel, MS Project, or equivalent.

•    Support cost estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
•    Compile and analyze project performance data (cost, schedule, earned value) to prepare reports. 
•    Assist with tracking resource usage, procurement status, and risk mitigation actions.
•    Maintain accurate records of project change orders, scope changes, and schedule revisions.
•    Coordinate with project managers to gather input and verify data accuracy.
•    Participate in internal and external project meetings and provide project control inputs as required in coordination with the Comptroller.
•    Support compliance with project control procedures and reporting standards.


Qualifications:
Required:
•    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
•    1–3 years of experience in project controls, project management, or a related role (internships or co-ops count).
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or equivalent planning software.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Excellent communication and organizational skills.
•    Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
