Project Manager

Vivo Energy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager reporting to the Industrial Project Manager within the Central Team. The incumbent will be based on site in Jorf Lasfar (El Jadida)

Job Overview:

  • Manage the project of around 70 M$ to complete on time, within budget and within scope.
  • Oversee all the technical aspects of the project according to company Infrastructure Projects Governance and Project Management organization.
  • Identify the technical resources needed for the project and ensure resource availability, allocation and performance.
  • Assign and monitor the work of technical personnel whilst maintaining technical alignment with key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates full commitment to all health and safety matters and provides safety leadership to the project team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage during the full duration of the project a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress of the project and manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using the appropriate change management process.
  • Define the objectives of the project in accordance with the established contractual framework and the approved budget and establish the guidelines for the development of the project program according to the established contractual planning.
  • Responsible for occupational health and safety in its project, in accordance with the occupational risk prevention and environmental management system and ensure the homogeneous implementation of the quality and environmental management system established for the project.
  • Establish and channel the budgetary controls of the project, and periodically review and approve the cost control of the project, as a predictive control to help the management Approve the corrective actions on economic deviations produced or foreseen, reporting them to Industrial Projects Manager.
  • Ensure the correct process of purchasing, subcontracting and contracting, according to the technical requirements, planned budget, deadlines and guarantees, in close collaboration with Procurement, in accordance with the company's internal guidelines and procedures.
  • Ensure the correct flow of information between headquarters/engineering sites and construction site in order to guarantee timely arrival dates of equipment to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

Job Knowledge, Skills & Experiences:

  • A Degree in Engineering or a related field with experience in Construction Management for a Depot.
  • Proven minimum 10 years experience in managing complex projects in a technical environment on projects valued at above $ 10M
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and execute project plans, manage multiple work streams, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and mitigate risks.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience in the downstream energy industry or a similar industry is preferred.
  • Relevant professional qualifications in project management ( PMP) or related field.
