Purchasing Operations Manager

Job Description
As an Operations & Purchasing Manager at Profitap, you play a key role in ensuring that our day-to-day operations run efficiently and smoothly. You are responsible for purchasing activities, supplier management, cost optimization, and operational coordination across multiple departments.
You will work closely with suppliers, production, logistics, R&D, and management to ensure that materials, components, and services are available on time and at the right quality level. In addition, you will support product certification processes, coordinate operational projects, and help improve internal processes that contribute to the continued growth of Profitap.
Purchasing & Supplier Management
• Manage purchasing activities for components, materials, services, and operational requirements
• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, lead times, and supplier agreements
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard alternative suppliers to reduce supply chain risks
• Monitor supplier performance on quality, delivery reliability, responsiveness, and cost
• Support cost optimization initiatives while maintaining product quality and reliability
Operations & Coordination
• Coordinate operational activities across purchasing, production, logistics, and administration
• Support production planning activities and ensure alignment between purchasing, inventory, and manufacturing requirements
• Ensure timely availability of materials, components, and services
• Follow up on operational issues and help resolve bottlenecks
• Improve processes related to purchasing, inventory management, supplier communication, and project follow-up
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier documentation, and operational planning
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and prevent delays
Product Certification & Compliance
• Coordinate product certification activities with certification bodies and internal stakeholders
• Help ensure products and components meet applicable regulatory and quality requirements
• Support compliance activities and maintain certification documentation
• Follow up on certification requirements, testing schedules, and deliverables
• Ensure products and components meet applicable regulatory and quality requirements
• Maintain clear records of certification status, renewals, and related documentation
Project & R&D Support
• Support R&D and product development projects by coordinating suppliers, components, timelines, and external partners
• Follow up on project actions to ensure progress and avoid delays
• Act as a bridge between R&D, purchasing, production, and management teams
• Help organize resources and information needed to keep projects moving forward
• Support operational aspects of new product introductions and product lifecycle activities
Requirements
You're a Perfect Match If You Have
• Experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, operations, or a similar role
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
• A proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented mindset
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
• Experience working with technical products, hardware, electronics, or manufacturing environments
• Strong communication skills in English
• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with different teams
Nice to Have
• Experience within electronics, hardware, networking, IT, industrial products, or manufacturing
• Experience with product certification, compliance, or quality documentation
• Familiarity with ERP, inventory management, purchasing, or project management systems
• Dutch language skills
