QA Automation Engineer

- Collaborate closely with engineering, product, data, and customer support teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.
- Review requirements, technical specifications, and design documents to provide timely feedback and identify potential risks early.
- Design, build, and maintain automated testing frameworks and test suites using modern tools and best practices.
- Execute manual, API, browser, and mobile testing to ensure end-to-end application quality across platforms.
- Plan, estimate, and coordinate testing activities, including regression testing and release validation.
- Identify, document, and track bugs, ensuring clear communication and follow-up through resolution.
- Participate in release cycles and coordinate testing efforts during deployments.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve QA processes, test coverage, and cross-team collaboration.
- 3–5 years of experience in QA engineering or software testing roles.
- Strong experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Python, Maestro or similar tools).
- Experience with API testing, cross-browser testing, and mobile testing across different operating systems and environments.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycles and agile methodologies.
- Ability to design comprehensive test plans and execute both manual and automated testing strategies.
- Experience working closely with developers and product managers in fast-paced environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Competitive salary range: $85,000 – $105,000 CAD.
