Exciting developments are going on at our long-established and thriving Beenham site, which is based less than ten miles from the vibrant city of Reading. We’re now looking for a Quality & Technical Manager to Lead the technical and quality function delivering products that meet specification at the lowest cost and deliver robust quality control while driving product excellence, innovation and enhancement

What’s the mission?

• Manage the Quality Management System, ensuring continued compliance to ISO 9001
• Liaise with other external departments as well as internal partners such as the Production, Maintenance and Central EHS Department and Competency centre
• Evaluate process efficiency and co-ordinate process improvements.
• Use 8D problem solving for QA/raw material/process issues
• Provide feedback to the site on how our customer views the product and what areas need improving to enhance customer experience
• Comply with company policies and procedures
• Drive site continuous improvement initiatives
• Oversee all quality testing ensuring it is done to the correct standard for product compliance
• Be the voice of the customer
• Ensure all ISO standards and BS EN 490 are met

We’re looking for a strong leader to engage the ‘hearts and minds’ of our colleagues whilst managing, coaching and training the team to develop a performance-driven culture, with emphasis on ownership, accountability, transparency and development of the facility and its people.

Ideally, we are looking for candidates who have worked in a building materials/heavy industry production background. This role will follow our manufacturing process championing quality and questioning the technical process at each step.
