R&D Engineer I
As an R&D engineer at Penumbra, you will be charged with game changing medical devices to address some of the world's toughest disease states! You will apply your passion for creative problem solving at all stages of the design process, from concept to commercialization, which will have a profound positive impact on patients worldwide.
What Success Looks Like
- Conceptualizing and prototyping of new product concepts
- Play a key role in early stage development of the next generation of Penumbra products
- Own documentation design and process steps
- Create test protocols and reports
- Testing and documenting results for impactful projects
- Creation and maintenance of product and process documentation
- Ultimately, you will see a problem and take the initiative to fix it!
What You Bring
- A strong drive to work on products that have meaningful impact on peoples' lives
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment where navigating grey areas is a welcomed challenge
- A Bachelor’s or Master's degree in mechanical engineering required
- 3+ months of professional engineering experience preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in office software applications and Solidworks required. (Please, include portfolio.)
