Regional Project Lead

Drive the execution of the CAPEX and engineering projects for the Latam Region. This position will be expected to work directly with departments/ areas and operations across the Aliaxis LATAM region to define and execute against investment project plans.

Main Responsabilities:

Drive the Successful Implementation of Manufacturing Projects

• Support the implementation of a work structure for the management, work, and improvement of the project management, and standardize them throughout the LATAM organization.
• Implement a project/program/initiative in a way that maximizes the business value of the project.
• Coordinate and guide the local organizations for project management. Assist the Champions CAPEX team in defining project strategies, developing goals, and ensuring project scope is defined and controlled
• Manage time (Gantts, timelines), resource, and scope for the Capex, projects and be responsible for prioritization of regional and local (country level) portfolio of projects.
• Risk management. Review that risk management is contemplate of the project definition, to always support consistency with the HSE & Quality Policies, business strategies.
• Assure the implementation is done thru the Change Management regional procedure for Product, Process and Services.
• Support the country/ local teams in defining and challenge project scopes, goals.
• Manage the procurement of goods and services by collaborating with the appropriate regional functions
• Maintain and generate the relevant project documentation and ensure consistency of communication to the project and leadership teams. Assuring the meet the requirements define as the standard.

Capability Building

• Lead in driving a culture of Continuous Improvement by delivering training on project management tools and directly participating in efforts to apply these tools to drive improvement across the manufacturing projects
• Storytelling. Develop and strength the capabilities to define the business cases by a clear narrative.
• Anticipate potential conflict situations and initiate proactive solutions that help manage conflict situations and result in win-win outcomes
• Manage the change and ambiguity to assure the successful execution of the project.

Requirements

• Bachelor´s Degree In Engineering or Management.
• 3 - 8 years experience as a project manager engineer in a manufacturing environment, preferably with extrusion and injection molded products.
• Program / Project Management Certification PMP (e.g., from PMI)
• English level: advance
• Desirable knowledge in manufacturing process as Extrusion and Injection on operational excellence models.
• Knowledge in the process of project cost estimation and management (e.g. estimate ROI (return of Investment)).
• Desirable knowledge on Change management for project implementation
• Desirable Knowledge on problem solving methodologies (A3, DMAIC, 8D).
• Project Management Skills. (Demonstrated skills on): Manage project elements as: Schedule, cost, resources, and risks, coordination of projects management and desire knowledge on tools as: agile, scrum or other techniques and methods for the execution of each project.
• Strategic and business management skills: Story telling skills and work/coordination with in a large and complex matrixed organization in different countries
