We are seeking a Registered Nurse to the team in our factory in Corona, CA to continue our pursuit of safety and excellence. We have maintained a best in class metric for safety and this person will be aiding the team on the ground level. The ideal person is extremely process driven and constantly looking for ways to improve the safety and well-being of our most treasured resource: our employees.
About the Job:
- Provides clinical nursing care for the management of occupational health conditions
- Adheres to evidence-based, symptom driven established protocols
- Provides follow-up with employees to ensure efficacy of interventions and directives
- Coordinates and implements health promotion initiatives including health screenings, health assessments and health-related counseling/education
- Plans and implements risk based, population - specific health promotion strategies for both group and individual health education
- Is a certified health coach and offers health coaching programs that reflect adherence to established evidence-based curriculum
- Documents all encounters accurately and completely
- Performs workplace environmental assessments, interacting with appropriate corporate colleagues
- Facilitates employee requests for job accommodations
- Facilitates ergonomic assessments and assists with workstation modification
- Provides exposure assessment and follow up for medical and environmental issues
- Ensures the integrity and confidentiality of all health information
- Works collaboratively with Human Resources, Security and Facilities
- Attains high level of employee satisfaction as demonstrated through verbal and written feedback
- Enhances the demonstration of Return on Investment reporting by accurately documenting all encounter information
- Provides referrals to: Employee Assistance Programs, health plans: condition management and/ or behavior modification program to optimize employee health and consumerism
- Balance the client needs with business needs in processing reasonable accommodation
- Participates in clinical nursing audits and identifies strategies for remediation of deficiencies to target 100% compliance
- Help establish and maintain OSHA compliance with record keeping
What you Need:
- Current license to practice as a registered nurse in California
- 5+ years of nursing experience
- 3 + years of experience in occupational health
- Knowledge of case management, workers' compensation, and governmental regulations
- Ability to make independent nursing judgments where appropriate
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills
- Strong demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
- Computer proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, electronic health record software
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to adapt working style and work in fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated sense of urgency and ability to appropriately escalate concerns to supervisors/ regional managers
- Bilingual English/Spanish
