We are currently seeking a Remote Diagnostics Engineer who will specify and implement robust remote diagnostics tailored to the continuously evolving industry. You will clarify requirements, work with the service and manufacturing organization to implement vehicle build requirements and after sales maintenance. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.

The Role

  • Specify and implement robust remote diagnostics tailored to the continuously evolving industry
  • Clarify requirements, work with the service and manufacturing organization to implement vehicle build requirements and after sales maintenance
  • Collaborate with diagnostic data team to analyze and develop diagnostic improvements based on new trends 
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to implement a diagnostic deployment strategy from engineering to production use 
  • Delivering service to road side assistance organizations
  • Work with Diagnostic and Data Engineers to develop and implement critical data
  • Closely work with Systems Engineers, Controls and Software Engineers on functional diagnostics 
  • Specify and implement alerting mechanisms for system vitals
  • Work with Test Engineers to validate functionality

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Automotive experience in Diagnostics
  • Strong knowledge of relevant standards: ISO 14229 (UDS), ISO 15765 (DoCAN), ISO 13400 (DoIP), ISO 22901-1 (ODX)
  • Diagnostic specification experience
  • Hands-on experience in using test equipment and validation tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer
  • Experience in automotive applications and applicable interfaces such as CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet
  • Experience in implementing a remote diagnostic system and strong service orientation
  • Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills  
  • Strong background in IT and cloud-based systems
  • Experience in diagnostic sequences such as ECU reprogramming and how the tester exchanges data with client ECUs
  • Bachelor of Science, in the areas of Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Automotive, Computer Science, or other related fields.
