About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Industry Analyst with a deep understanding of the medium- and heavy-commercial vehicle market. The ideal candidate will be responsible for interpreting market trends, analyzing data, creating forecast and producing insightful reports to guide our clients.
Responsibilities and Impact:
- Using local market knowledge, help to maintain accuracy of historical databases related to commercial-vehicle demand.
- Analyze and forecast commercial-vehicle market topics, including regulations and trucking trends.
- Help maintain new vehicle demand forecast assumptions and support vehicle-powertrain and vehicle-production analysts on related forecast work.
- Develop relationships with supplier and OEM contacts as well as media to extend S&P Global Mobility brand and product awareness.
- Monitor and analyze current automotive industry news and trends, focusing on medium- and heavy-commercial vehicles.
- Develop and produce written analytical reports that demonstrate a thorough understanding of market dynamics and forecasts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights for special consulting projects.
- Conduct in-person meetings with clients to present findings and provide strategic recommendations.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of automotive technologies, regulatory changes, and market developments.
- Contribute to the creation and enhancement of forecast datasets related to the automotive industry.
- Represent S&P Global Mobility externally, at conferences and other industry events.
