The Research Team helps Salmon make better decisions by turning customer feedback, market trends, and business questions into actionable insights.
We partner closely with Marketing, Product, Growth, Customer Experience, and Leadership teams to understand customer behavior, evaluate new opportunities, and measure business performance. Our work influences product development, marketing strategy, customer experience improvements, and long-term business growth.
As Salmon continues to scale, the need for high-quality customer and market insights becomes increasingly important. We're building a research function that combines analytical rigor, business understanding, and customer empathy to support decision-making across the organization.
We're looking for researchers who are naturally curious, highly analytical, and passionate about uncovering insights that create measurable business impact.
About the Role
As a Research Executive, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing quantitative research studies that support strategic business decisions across Salmon.
You'll work closely with Marketing Managers, Product teams, Customer Experience stakeholders, and business leaders to translate business questions into structured research projects. From survey design and fieldwork management to analysis and reporting, you'll own the research process end-to-end and help ensure insights are actionable, reliable, and business-focused.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving business problems through data, loves survey research, and is excited to help build a best-in-class customer insights function within a fast-growing fintech company.
What You'll Do
Quantitative Research & Survey Execution
Design and execute quantitative research projects from planning through final reporting
Develop effective survey questionnaires aligned with research objectives and business needs
Manage survey programming, testing, deployment, and fieldwork coordination
Ensure data quality, research rigor, and methodological consistency across studies
Support customer feedback, market research, product testing, segmentation, and satisfaction initiatives
Recommend appropriate research methodologies and measurement approaches
Data Analysis & Insight Generation
Analyze survey data to identify customer behaviors, trends, patterns, and opportunities
Transform research findings into actionable business recommendations
Develop reports, dashboards, presentations, and executive summaries
Present research findings clearly to stakeholders across the organization
Support evidence-based decision-making through timely and accurate research outputs
Conduct ad hoc analyses to answer emerging business questions
Research Operations & Knowledge Management
Build and maintain a centralized research variable library
Document research methodologies, survey standards, and reusable audience segments
Support the development of research templates, processes, and best practices
Help establish consistency and quality standards across research projects
Improve research workflows and operational efficiency
Stakeholder Partnership
Collaborate with Marketing Managers, Product teams, Customer Experience teams, and business stakeholders
Translate business questions into structured research frameworks
Advise stakeholders on survey design, measurement approaches, and research methodologies
Provide guidance on interpreting research findings and applying insights
Ensure research outputs are aligned with business priorities and decision-making needs
Team Development & Research Excellence
Mentor junior researchers in survey design, research execution, and quantitative analysis
Contribute to the continuous improvement of research capabilities and best practices
Support knowledge sharing and research excellence initiatives
Help build a strong research culture grounded in curiosity, rigor, and customer understanding
What Makes You a Strong Fit
3+ years of experience in quantitative research, market research, consumer insights, analytics, consulting, or a related field
Strong experience designing, executing, and analyzing survey-based research projects
Experience conducting customer satisfaction studies, segmentation research, product testing, brand tracking, or user feedback programs
Strong survey design and questionnaire writing skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Experience interpreting quantitative data and generating actionable insights
Proficiency in Excel, SPSS, R, Python, survey platforms, or similar research tools
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to translate complex findings into clear business recommendations
Strong project management and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple research projects simultaneously
High attention to detail and commitment to research quality

Experience working in fintech, technology, consumer products, or fast-growing organizations
Experience mentoring researchers or supporting team development
Familiarity with dashboarding and data visualization tools
Experience partnering with Marketing, Product, Growth, or Customer Experience teams
Experience building research frameworks, standards, or operational processes
Strong storytelling and insight communication skills
Experience working in dynamic, fast-paced environments
