Research Manager

PEI Media have an exciting opportunity for a Research Manager (LPs) to join the London based Research and Analytics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a team of researcher associates (based across London and Pune) to deliver best-in-class data and intelligence on the activities and future appetite of limited partners across private markets.

Requirements

• Manage a team of research associates to collect, store and maintain up-to-date data on the activities and future appetite of limited partners in private markets
• Manage a team of researchers to deliver written content (e.g., Tearsheets) on the activities and future appetite of limited partners in global markets
• Lead by example and deliver a proportion of the required data collection and written content directly
• Maintain a highly motivated and skilled research team through regular performance management and excellent recruitment
• Implement improvements in process management, including department-wide functions and operations
• Sustain across the team a culture of relationship building to encourage the gathering of data directly from market participants
• Sustain across the team a culture of inquisitiveness and curiosity with data collection. Encourage researchers for delving deep into data and gathering more and new data points
• Drive improvements in the quality and depth of data and intelligence maintained by PEI by demanding high quality and in-depth research and excellent attention to detail from all team members
• Report team’s progress on all stated objectives to the Head of Private Markets Research on regular basis

GP database

• Guide and supervise researchers to collect data and intelligence on the activities of limited partners in private markets using phone, email and desk-based research methods
• Manage the quality and quantity of research conducted by researchers working in offshore agency
• Drive improvements in the quality and increase the quantity and relevance of limited partner data and intelligence maintained by PEI

Project Management (e.g. rankings)

• Project management of several PEI’s department-wide LP rankings from end-to-end to agreed timetable and quality
• Project management of some PEI’s department-wide LP activity reports from end to end to agreed timetable and quality
• In all projects, manage people to deliver to the required quality and pace

Full-time UK employees are entitled to 25 days of annual leave + the eight public holidays.
