About the team
Your job in the Mockups - Retouch team is, to edit all digital images provided by the Photography and Photo Review team to upload unique images that meet the needs of our users at Placeit, as well as being a support to your Technical/Art Lead on the daily workflow of the team
Purpose
The Retoucher is responsible for editing all digital images provided by the Photography and Content Review team to upload unique images that meet the needs of our users at Placeit, as well as being a support to your Technical/Art Lead on the daily workflow of the team.
What would I work on specifically?
Key Duties & Responsibilities.
● Retouch images with advanced Photoshop techniques and prepare them for operation in Placeit.
● Create unique digital images, which can be viewed on our platform and on our clients' devices.
● Retouch images so they can be easily found and understood by the customer.
● Work on retouching weekly goals, based on priorities.
● Help out with Special Projects, specific tasks and support with daily activities.
● Review existing tickets (QA Review) in order to improve quality.
● Peer review: Review other team members tickets and provide feedback.
Internal Relationships & Duties.
● Technical Lead: Ask technical doubts.
● Retouchers: Peer reviews, questions and support.
● Art Lead: Creative questions, review existing assets and discuss briefs of Special Projects.
● BUM: Performance reviews, workload management, administrative issues.
● Creative Director: Contact for creative questions, discuss new ideas, suggests new trends.
Required Technical Skills/Experience
● Strong/ in Adobe Photoshop domain (use of shortcuts, layers, masks, paths, effects and smart objects, etc. is a must).
● Camera raw domain.
● Experience in the photographic workflow and deliverables .
● Experience in photo retouching focused on commercial product selling rather than beauty retouching (color balance, cosmetic retouching, compositions, assembly of images, etc.)
● Process-oriented, able to achieve weekly goals in an organised way and always assuring proper final uploads.
● Fully understand the retouching process, able to work independently.
● Intermediate level of English in both written and verbal communication.
