Revenue Performance Manager
Position Description:
The Revenue Performance Manager (RPM) functions as the liaison between Revenue Cycle, Finance, Operations, and other essential stakeholders in the organization. Working closely with Directors and clinic managers in their assigned markets, the RPM will help identify opportunities to optimize revenue cycle/billing activities and identify areas for revenue growth. This position will provide strategic guidance to optimize reimbursement.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead through influence and relationship building
- Develop relationships with market leaders and demonstrate understanding of their practices in order to best assess opportunities for improvement
- In partnership with the Business Analytics team, monitor KPIs to uncover trends, both positive and negative, in effort to provide feedback and guidance to market stakeholders
- Lead month-end close reviews to represent trends and opportunities in revenue and AR
- Build and maintain a business plan for their assigned market(s), including goals and initiatives for optimization and growth
- Demonstrate improvement and growth of market through measurable results
- Assist operations in troubleshooting and resolving day to day revenue cycle issues and questions.
- Plan, prepare, and conduct monthly meetings with operations leadership, utilizing metrics and data to support findings and prioritize initiatives. Provide a narrative of issues that will lead to clearly defined deliverables
- Demonstrate comprehension of payer contracts, with special attention to complexities and details
- Identify and monitor trends in revenue processes requiring intervention with operations (ie, denial trends). Work with operations to determine corrective course of action.
- Serve as the liaison and advocate between Operations and Revenue Cycle to monitor revenue team responses to practice issues / concerns and ensure appropriate follow-through. Act as an escalation resource when needed.
- Assess the training needs of staff in operations and ensure successful training

Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a revenue cycle manager
- Healthcare experience (Required)
- Experience with AthenaNet EMR (Preferred not required)
- Previous experience in behavioral health and addiction (Preferred not required)
