Sanitarian
TLDR
Maintains cleanliness and food-safety standards in an indoor modular farming facility, balancing sanitation tasks with data collection and GMP-compliant practices.
Role – As a Sanitarian you will be responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness of our state of the art, indoor farming facility. We grow food in our modular container TerraFarms and maintain the highest standards of quality in our work in environment. The Sanitarian would be coming in around mid-day and working into the evening to be sure to clean everything up after food production has been completed.
Responsibilities – You should be confident making significant contributions in the following categories:
- Maintaining cleanliness and sanitary environment in order keep a food safe environment
- Collecting data for sanitation tasks
- Maintaining safety using chemicals and cleaning supplies
- Adhering to government regulated food safety and quality standards
Requirements – Your background should include the following:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Comfortable to work in warm/hot environments for an extended period
- Comfortable to work in cold storage environment for an extended period
- Experience with detail-oriented physical tasks and working in teams
- Maintain safe working environment for you and your co workers
- Maintain GMP and food safety requirements
- Comfortable wearing chemical safe PPE
- Maintain safety with sanitation chemicals and cleaning supplies
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Have full range of mobility in upper and lower body to be able to work in various positions
- Comfortable working in wet environments
Bonus Skills – Exceptional Candidates will have:
- Experience in food manufacturing GMP environment
- Experience in sanitation
- Experience developing SSOPs
- HACCP trained
