About the Role:

BigPanda is seeking an organized, reliable, and proactive Senior Accountant, with attention to detail, to join our team. As a key member of our growing Finance Team, our Senior Accountant will apply accounting principles and procedures to assist with the financial close process of a variety of balance sheet and income statement accounts and complete special projects and assist in driving process changes to help us scale during our hypergrowth period. This is an amazing opportunity to wear multiple hats and drive a diverse range of projects related to Accounting, Revenue and FP&A.

This full-time position reports to our Senior Accounting Manager. The Finance team is based out of our Mountain View headquarters but the team is flexible and works mostly remotely. 

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close activities and deliverables, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Assist with managing technical accounting policies, entries, and reporting according to US GAAP, such as revenue recognition, equity & stock compensation accounting, cost allocations, and corporate taxes.
  • Record and manage month-end deliverables for accounts including but not limited to fixed assets, accruals, prepaids and cash. 
  • Assist with order to cash process including managing customer invoicing, AR aging and sales order entry 
  • Assist in the preparation of audit work schedules and support audit requests.
  • Assist with audits of internal records, workers compensation, tax filing and related documentation.
  • Support and assist with special projects, including process improvements, the adoption of new accounting standards, and software and reporting systems implementations and enhancements, as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 4+ years of relevant public or corporate accounting experience.
  • Incredibly detail-oriented and organized with the ability to meet assigned deadlines.
  • Strong sense of ownership.
  • Strong knowledge of systems generally and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Loves to interact with people and enjoys creating a positive employee experience.
  • A positive, upbeat attitude and a sense of humor!

  • Experience using Netsuite, Expensify, Bill.com, SFDC, Adaptive Insights (our current tech stack)
