Senior Analyst - Payroll Accounting

- Process end-to-end payroll cycles in enterprise systems, ensuring accurate and timely payroll execution in compliance with internal policies and legal regulations.
- Prepare and post payroll accounting journals, including earnings, deductions, and labor allocation entries across finance systems.
- Maintain and reconcile payroll data using tools such as Excel, pivot tables, and payroll reporting systems.
- Manage payroll processing records by collecting, validating, and inputting employee time, benefits, and tax-related data.
- Generate payroll reports and dashboards for management review and stakeholder decision-making.
- Support payroll inquiries from employees and internal stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Participate in system testing (UAT), including test script preparation, execution, and issue troubleshooting with IT and business teams.
- Contribute to payroll governance activities, including documentation, audits, and data dictionary maintenance.
- Support data extraction, migration, cleansing, and configuration activities across payroll and finance systems.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to track action items and support new country or process transitions into payroll operations.
- 2–3+ years of experience in payroll processing, payroll accounting, or similar finance operations roles.
- Hands-on experience working with PeopleSoft, particularly Payroll (version 9.2 preferred).
- Strong understanding of payroll accounting principles, including earnings, deductions, tax calculations, and reconciliations.
- Experience working with HRIS or payroll tools and reporting systems such as Cognos and advanced Excel.
- Familiarity with finance modules such as labor allocation, payroll accounting, projects, or billing is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large datasets and financial information.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across HR, finance, and IT stakeholders.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines, prioritize tasks, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
- Experience supporting UAT testing and troubleshooting system issues in collaboration with technical teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent qualification).
