Senior Backend Engineer, Enterprise

TLDR

Design and evolve distributed backend services powering mission-critical enterprise platforms with emphasis on reliability, observability, and scalable architecture.

Accountabilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain distributed backend services and platform components supporting enterprise customers at scale
  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of production systems, including deployment, monitoring, incident response, and continuous reliability improvements
  • Translate complex business, security, and regulatory requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions
  • Lead the decomposition of large, ambiguous initiatives into structured, iterative engineering deliverables across multiple teams
  • Build and enhance systems related to security, access control, data handling, multi-tenancy, and enterprise compliance requirements
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners including product, infrastructure, security, and legal teams
  • Define and track system health metrics, leveraging observability tools to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability standards are met
  • Contribute to architectural decisions that ensure long-term platform evolution and support future enterprise growth
  • Requirements

    • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with senior or staff-level responsibility in backend-focused roles
    • Strong expertise in backend development and system design for distributed systems
    • Proven experience operating production systems, including observability, incident management, and reliability engineering
    • Background in enterprise-grade system development, including security, compliance, data governance, or platform engineering
    • Experience working across multiple teams and driving complex technical initiatives end-to-end
    • Strong understanding of scalable architecture principles and long-term system design thinking
    • Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders across functions
    • Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical projects is a strong advantage
