Senior Contingent Workforce Program Manager
About the Role
The Sr. Contingent Workforce Program Manager will be a part of the People Operations team and will develop and streamline our internal contingent workforce program with a focus on compliance, customer service, and vendor management. The Sr. Contingent Workforce Program Manager will have a thorough understanding of end-to-end Payroll/EOR, SOW, Staffing, IC, and MSP processes in the U.S., Canada and APAC. Our ideal candidate will partner closely with cross-functional leaders to creatively problem solve while still controlling for risk and compliance. This role will be hands on, proactively driving operational excellence in a complex, dynamic environment.

- Partner with Finance, IT, and Hiring Managers to anticipate contingent workforce needs across the organization.
- Facilitate the full contingent workforce lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding
- Be a key thought partner to hiring managers when evaluating contingent workforce staffing strategies and processes to ensure our practices align with policy
- As a subject matter expert on contingent workforce management, provide training and guidance to hiring managers on management of contingent workforce that aligns with company values and ensures compliance with state and federal law.
- Maintain current process documentation and training guides for contingent workforce management.
- Partner closely with IT and IS teams to ensure compliance, IP protections and risk mitigation for contingent workforce.
- Act as key partner for staffing agencies to ensure hiring needs meet DoorDash standards

- You have 5+ years of experience building and managing contingent workforce programs
- You have a deep understanding of global contingent workforce employment and have the ability to design programs that are compliant with local legislation
- You have a deep knowledge of contingent workforce classifications and can teach cross functional partners on the importance of proper classification
- You have strong understanding of Independent Contractor compliance requirements
- You have prior experience with Vendor Management Systems (VMS) and understanding of contingent workforce reporting
- You have demonstrated ability to work both independently and cross functionally to achieve business objectives
