Senior Contract Specialist
TLDR
Draft and negotiate commercial and customer-support contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance and cross-team collaboration.
Primary Function of Position:
The Sr Contracts Specialist will perform a full spectrum of contractual tasks including drafting and negotiation of agreements linked to Intuitive Surgical’s commercial and customer support activities. The Sr Contract Specialist will ensure compliance with corporate policies and applicable regulations and contribute to projects aiming at improving Intuitive Surgical’s business support.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Contract Drafting and Negotiation. Responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts including commercial agreements (including sales and leases) for the placement of Intuitive’s products and services and agreements with Healthcare professionals, letters and further documents associated with commercial and customer support activities of Intuitive Surgical (e.g., product loan agreements, training, proctoring, consulting, sponsoring, , discount/rebate agreements and other miscellaneous agreements, usually based on Intuitive Surgical's templates). Act as support for digital, data and privacy agreements.
- Ensure compliance to company policy and applicable regulations.
- Build partnership with Intuitive Surgical’s Marketing, Clinical, Legal, Sales, Services and Finance teams and other internal stakeholders on various commercial and customer support processes and ensure quality contractual support and advice.
- Develop and maintain positive customer relations with external customers; coordinate various functions within the company to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain Intuitive Surgical's various contract databases.
- Generate and distribute reports for the purpose of monitoring and measuring contract status and revenue.
- Contribute to business support projects by setting objectives, planning, assigning tasks, developing timelines, and training individuals.
- Analyze business processes needs/requests and recommend solutions by using system standards and best practices.
- Lead initiatives on business process and contracts process and template development.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor
- 3-5 years of experience in drafting, reviewing, negotiating contracts, and managing customer relationship.
- Knowledge of standard legal terms and conditions. Operational knowledge of commercial contracting terms, data security, and/or data privacy regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, (including legal drafting skills).
- Strong attention to detail, as well as strong analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently, multitask, and prioritize duties.
- Strong interest towards business and commercial, readiness to work hand-in-hand with Sales in the frontline
Languages:
- Fluent in English is required, German or any other European language is a plus.

- Based in Aubonne office or in Freiburg Office.
