The base salary range for this role is $178,000 per year - $293,000 per year, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.  This role is eligible for the Fanatics Betting and Gaming annual bonus program and an equity award.

Fanatics Betting & Gaming is looking for a Senior Director of Design who will be responsible for being one of the founding leaders of the design group. This is a unique opportunity to bring the visual identity of FBG into existence and be a part of the team that is reinventing the category through product and design excellence. The ideal candidate has impressive experience leading design teams and agency partners building brands from launch through early stage development. They should be creative with a strong understanding of business leadership. 

Responsibilities

  • Extend the brand’s Vis ID into a living breathing system that supports all aspects of the FBG brand platform: advertising, social, Loyalty, VIP and beyond. 
  • Partner with the Product Design team to ensure one brand across product verticals and brand verticals.
  • Help bring the brand to life in all consumer touch points. 
  • Build a culture rooted in strong design principles, focused on delivering the best work across the organization in a timely, efficient manner. 
  • Manage a complex ecosystem that includes physical retail, digital product, digital marketing and cross brand communication.  
  • Be brave. Take the category somewhere new. 
  • Love the details and the dirty work as much as the high visibility projects. 
  • Foster an environment of inclusivity and build a culture of accountability. 

Experience and Skills

  • 10+ years design experience, 3+ years managing a team or an agency.
  • 5+ years experience designing for a premium brand.
  • Sports or sports betting category experience preferred.
  • Extensive people management experience. Passionate about team building and mentorship.
  • A proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on strong design fundamentals
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions and geographies across time zones.
  • Capable of independently managing multiple priorities and time to meet deadlines, while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Open to regular travel to events and other Fanatics offices for various offsite and team meetings.
