Senior Electrical Engineer - Buildings

You will lead electrical design efforts for municipal buildings and infrastructure projects while ensuring technical excellence, coordination across disciplines, and successful delivery from concept to construction.
- Lead and execute electrical design work for municipal infrastructure and facility projects, contributing both independently and as a technical lead within multidisciplinary teams.
- Develop detailed engineering deliverables including design calculations, construction drawings, cost estimates, and material specifications.
- Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, mechanical engineers, and project managers to produce fully integrated and constructible design packages.
- Participate in client meetings to understand requirements, address technical challenges, and translate needs into effective engineering solutions.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and designers, supporting skill development and team capability growth.
- Review and validate design documentation to ensure accuracy, code compliance, and alignment with applicable standards and client requirements.
- Support project delivery by helping manage scope, schedule, and budget throughout the design lifecycle.
- 6+ years of experience in electrical engineering design, drafting, or related roles within building or infrastructure projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Revit for electrical design and modeling, with working knowledge of AutoCAD or MicroStation.
- Solid understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and relevant standards such as NFPA 72, 101, and 110.
- Familiarity with International Building Code (IBC), energy codes, and lighting design standards.
- Experience using lighting design tools such as DIALux or AGi32.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation, organization, and design accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future.
