About the Role:
We are looking for a proven, experienced Senior Events manager to join the THG Experience event team. You would be responsible for delivering world class events within the THG Property portfolio which includes Hale Country Club & Spa & King Street Townhouse Hotel, supporting the Beauty and Wellbeing brands alongside wider THG divisions such as Ingenuity and the central PR teams.
Responsibilities will include:
- Working with THG Senior Management team to take events briefs, and then delivering to standard.
- Leading an events team for all THG experience events.
- Develop and implement THG Experience events strategy including an ongoing activations calendar which will span across all THG Portfolio properties working alongside the Marketing team and calendar to ensure key brand moments are highlighted.
- Creation and execution of an internal events calendar for THG employees.
- Overseeing all operational delivery across pre-production and onsite delivery.
- Budget management - ensuring all events are successfully delivered on time and in full, in line with advised budgets.
- Working with the wider PR team across brands and within Experience to ensure maximum exposure on all events.
- Clear ownership of reporting post-event to demonstrate ROI or performance vs. pre-agreed KPI’s.
- Working cross functionally with teams including Social, Content, PR, Finance to ensure the events are in line with the overarching strategy and have robust pre and post events comms strategies.
- Developing and owning relationships with external suppliers to support with execution.
- Keeping up to date with industry/market trends and networking opportunities.
- Work closely with the Studios and brand teams to brief in required event assets.
- Working closely with the THG Property Sales & Operations teams to ensure profit margins are met and successful event delivery is adhered too.
- Working closely with wider brand teams to identify commercial event opportunities.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
- Proven track record of event delivery across the hospitality sectors (Beauty experience beneficial)
- Meticulous level of detail
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work to deadlines, managing all 'moving parts' to ensure all events run smoothly
- Event experience in hotels is preferable but not essential
- H&S - be competent in event risk assessments, PLI, Event Management Plans, Council licensing
- Strategic thinker and problem-solving skills
- Project management skills
- Line management experience
- Client pitching experience
