Senior Manager, Global Partnerships
Reporting to the Vice-President of Global Partnerships and based in Toronto, Canada, this role will join a dynamic team dedicated to driving revenue and activating brand partnerships for OverActive Media and its esports properties. This role will be responsible for the development of both short- and long-term strategic planning for existing and potential brand partners, as well as identifying new global revenue opportunities. This candidate should have proven account management skills and be creative in pushing the boundaries of traditional sponsorship. This role will require a high degree of cross functional team collaboration and communication.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
● Work collaboratively with the Global Partnerships team to drive revenue growth.
● Develop and execute partnership strategies and presentations for both the Toronto Defiant (Overwatch) and Toronto Ultra (Call of Duty) franchises, OAM HQ, and other properties and assets as developed.
● Pursue, develop, and manage new partnerships.
● Develop and ensure a high-level of client service and communication with all current and future partners.
● Generate and manage business plans to define strategies and tactics for long-term sustained success.
● Understand and adapt to OverActive Mediaʼs ongoing content and product developments.
● Attend network and promotional events to develop and maintain contact with potential clients and professional bodies.
● Share in responsibility for planning, forecasting, budgeting, and cost management where appropriate and provide partners with post event analysis and reports on a timely basis.
● Support the management and development of a Manager, Global Partnerships and other teammates.
● Be an effective team player with strong sales, customer service, communication, presentation and creative problem-solving skills.
Requirements
● Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration/Marketing or related field considered an asset.
● Self-starter who can work independently to manage multiple partnerships, while at the same time pitching new business.
● A hands-on problem solver and critical thinker with strong attention to detail.
● Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks to deadline.
● Proven experience with creating and building strategic sponsorship plans.
● Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills are a must.
● Strong communication skills with experience in developing, presenting, and selling ideas to clients.
● Experience working across cross functional teams to deliver a common goal.
● 5-7 years experience with a sports or entertainment property, agency, or client.
● Ability to travel up to 25% of the time and must be willing to work nights or weekends on occasion.
