Senior .NET Engineer (WinUI/WPF)

TLDR

Modernize a railway measurement platform using WinUI/WPF to collect data from measurement devices for track condition assessment and maintenance planning.

The project is focused on modernizing a railway measurement software platform used to monitor and analyze railway infrastructure. The solution supports data collection from railway measurement devices, enabling accurate track condition assessment and maintenance planning.

We are looking for a Senior .NET Engineer (WinUI/WPF) to join our team.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years focused heavily on the .NET stack
  • Excellent knowledge of C#, .NET Core
  • Good knowledge WinUI/WPF, XAML, MVVM
  • Excellent knowledge of clean Architecture, SOLID principles and layered/multitier architectures
  • Profound knowledge of MS SQL
  • Experience with CI/CD
  • Experience with AI agentic coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, Antigravity, Cursor, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience with .NET MAUI (would be a plus)
  • Knowledge of German (written or spoken) (would be a plus)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science (or similar technical field)
  • Level of English: Upper-Intermediate (at least)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop well-designed, easy-to-maintain, scalable, and reusable Windows desktop software from the ground up
  • Design, document, and demonstrate desktop software architecture in close collaboration with the client’s internal Solution Architect
  • Actively participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and backlog grooming sessions under the Scrum framework
  • Serve as the initial technical anchor for the Leobit sub-team on this project; help onboard and mentor intermediate/middle developers as the team expands
  • Develop automated unit tests, collect code coverage, and ensure the code meets the high quality standards required by German industrial scrutiny
  • Estimate complex projects using different techniques
  • Research, study and develop new or complex technical solutions/technologies (R&D)
  • Implement performance/load/stress testing procedures according to project needs
  • Provide continuous integration practices on the projects
  • Package and support deployment of releases
  • Setup integration with external software
