Senior Payroll Specialist

TLDR

Serve as the internal reference for payroll and HR administration across staff and international sales teams, managing end-to-end payroll and cross-functional HR projects.

Your purpose at Stanley/Stella

As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you are the internal reference point for all Payroll and HR Administration matters for our Belgian employees and our European Sales teams (white-collar population).

You manage the full payroll cycle end-to-end, in close collaboration with our social secretary (SD Worx), the HR Operations Manager to whom you report directly.

Beyond operational excellence, your mission is to secure, structure, optimise, and anticipate payroll and HR administrative practices in an international and fast-changing context.

Your role and impact

Payroll & HR Administration

  • Ensure a reliable, accurate, and compliant payroll process for Belgian and European employees
  • Act as the main point of contact for the social secretary and ensure smooth and proactive collaboration
  • Manage all payroll-related HR administration throughout the employee lifecycle

Compensation & Benefits

  • Actively contribute to Compensation & Benefits projects, propose balanced solutions, and ensure implementation
  • Support the definition, alignment, and evolution of related HR policies

Budget, headcount & governance

  • Co-build the headcount plan and HR budget together with the Finance department
  • Identify opportunities for optimisation and continuous improvement
  • Advise HR and management on labour law, social, and tax regulations

Employee lifecycle & transversal projects

  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring social compliance and a smooth employee experience
  • Act as a key contact point for payroll and HR administrative questions
  • Actively participate in cross-functional projects where payroll or HR legal expertise is required

About you

Experience & background

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Payroll, or equivalent through experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in payroll, preferably in a complex, international, and fast-paced organisation
  • Strong expertise in Belgian payroll
    international payroll exposure is a strong asset
