Senior ProdOps Analyst (LATAM)

TLDR

Work within a high-performing team to support product operations through automation, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration, helping to streamline processes and enhance operational quality.

Who we are

At R2, we believe that small and medium businesses are the productive engine of society. Small and medium businesses (SMBs) make up over 90% of companies in Latin America, yet they face a trillion-dollar credit gap. Our mission is to unlock SMBs’ potential by providing financial solutions tailored to their needs. We are reimagining the financial infrastructure of Latin America, where SMBs’ financial needs are met without ever having to go to a bank.

R2 enables platforms across Latin America to embed financial services that SMBs can leverage, starting with revenue-based financing. We are a high-performing, close-knit team with talent from organizations such as Google, Amazon, Nubank, Uber, Capital One, Mercado Libre, Globant, and J.P. Morgan.

We are entering a new phase of growth following a strategic investment from Ant International, focused on rapidly expanding our partner footprint, strengthening our credit and underwriting capabilities, and scaling operations across multiple markets. As part of this growth journey, eligible team members have the opportunity to participate in R2’s Phantom Share Program, a performance-based incentive designed to align our team with the company’s long-term success and value creation. We believe in building a culture of ownership, where those who help create value share meaningfully in it.

As a Product Operations  Intern, you will support our product and finance operations, ensuring that our financial data, internal processes, and product features run smoothly and accurately. You’ll collaborate with multiple teams to maintain consistency across systems and help streamline workflows as we continue to grow. The Product Operations Intern will report to the Product Operations Manager and interact with multiple stakeholders in different countries.

What you’ll work on

AI & Automation

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve automation workflows that reduce manual effort across operational processes.
  • Work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to deploy and iterate on AI-powered tools — including our AI agent — to scale operations coverage.
  • Identify high-impact automation opportunities by analyzing operational patterns and bottlenecks.
  • Evaluate and integrate AI-based tools to improve speed, accuracy, and scalability of internal processes.

Data & Analytics

  • Use SQL to extract and analyze operational data, supporting metric tracking and ad-hoc investigations.
  • Build and own dashboards and reports that give real-time visibility into operational performance.
  • Use data to proactively surface issues, prioritize improvements, and measure the impact of initiatives.
  • Partner with Finance and Product to ensure data accuracy and alignment across systems.

Process Operations

  • Own and optimize core operational processes end-to-end, ensuring quality, consistency, and SLA compliance.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve how Product, Finance, and Operations teams work together.
  • Create and maintain SOPs, process documentation, and operational playbooks.
  • Proactively identify inefficiencies and drive structured, data-backed solutions.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar).
  • Background in lending, payments, or financial infrastructure.
  • Experience building or managing AI agents or chatbot workflows.
  • Familiarity with tools like Notion, Linear, Jira, or similar operational stacks.
  • Spanish and/or Portuguese as additional languages.

Who you are

  • 3+ years of experience in Product Operations, Operations, or a similar role at a fintech or technology startup.
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools and automation platforms (e.g., workflow automation, AI agents, LLM-powered tools).
  • Intermediate SQL skills — comfortable reading and writing basic queries to extract and analyze operational data.
  • Strong analytical mindset: you work from data, not gut feeling.
  • Highly proactive and self-directed — you identify problems before they escalate and move fast to solve them.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Advanced English (written and spoken) — required for cross-regional collaboration.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with evolving priorities.

What makes you stand out

  • You don’t just flag problems — you come with a plan.
  • You’re comfortable pulling data to back up a decision and turning it into a clear stakeholder message.
  • You see AI and automation as multipliers, not buzzwords, and you know how to apply them practically.
  • You thrive in lean teams where ownership is real and impact is visible.
  • You are organized, reliable, and hold yourself to a high bar on accuracy and delivery.

What We Offer:

  • The chance to join a high-impact, mission-driven fintech with regional scale
  • Leadership over enterprise controls for a fast-paced and growth-oriented startup
  • Cross-functional collaboration with exceptional teams across Latin America
  • Equipment provided by R2
