Senior Revenue Analyst

As a Senior Revenue Analyst, you will collaborate business partners to ensure revenue recognition process functions smoothly and efficiently. This position will be responsible for monthly and quarterly close activities for revenue, validate and reconcile revenue-related accounts to various systems, assist in analyzing data, and prepare reports for auditors and management. An ideal candidate should possess great attention to detail and have experience in revenue accounting and demonstrate advanced Excel skills. In addition, he or she will participate in and support systems improvements and focus on streamlining the revenue recognition process.
We are looking for a highly-organized, self-motivated individual who has a proven capability of prioritizing multiple responsibilities while meeting strict goals and deadlines. Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly revenue close including journal entries, account reconciliations, and backend controls to ensure accuracy of revenue
- Assist with external audit through PBC generation and fielding questions
- Participate in and support systems improvements and focus on streamlining the revenue recognition process.
- Develop, implement and maintain desktop procedures for ongoing revenue accounting activities
- Assist in maintaining and updating documentation for revenue policies and procedures
- Aid in the development, testing and documentation of internal controls
- Assist with systems implementation and other finance projects and work closely with IT to resolve system related matters.
- Perform BESP/SSP analysis for revenue allocations
- Aid in the coaching and development of junior team members
- Assist with ad-hoc requests
Requirements:
- 8 + years of US GAAP accounting experience with 5+ years’ SaaS revenue accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA preferred but not required
- Public accounting experience with a Big 4 a plus
- Experience with professional service and order-to-cash business process management a plus
- Knowledge of revenue recognition under US GAAP (ASC 985-605, ASC 605-25, ASC 606)
- Ability to remain flexible and change priorities in a challenging and fast-paced environment
- Excellent presentation and communication skills to communicate technical accounting requirements to non-technical audience
- System implementation and testing experience preferred
- Detailed-oriented with excellent analytical skills
- Ability to problem solve, both from an accounting and system perspective
- Ability to work independently but also be a team player
- Must have an advanced knowledge of Excel
