Senior SAP BI Data Engineer

The Sr Enterprise BI Data Engineer will be a part of the Data Analytics team and be responsible for managing the data and reporting processes, AI/ML analytics environment, responsible for accurate data collection, processing, modelling, and analysis. This role will be responsible for the design, build, and implement data integration solutions - including data pipelines, data APIs, and ETL jobs, to meet the data needs of applications, services, data assets, and business intelligence and analytical tools. In addition to the above this role will design and develop S/4 reports and dashboards using the extraction of SAP S/4 tables and models from ERP, CRM data sources and third-party systems in a combination of cloud and on-premises platforms.

What You'll Work On

  • Collect, analyze, and synthesize complex information from disparate sources into a single reporting view/data layer using SQL or similar tools. Summarize results and present findings to our non-analytic audiences.
  • Conduct analyses of data, ranging from descriptive ad-hoc analyses to in-depth investigations of healthcare utilization trends/outcomes and prepare data summarization presentation for review by leadership team and key stakeholders.
  • Drive integrated teams to deliver technology solutions in support of key business initiatives by working closely with business owners, architects, engineers, developers and quality assurance
  • Lead discussions on data ingestion standardization, data conformance/quality and audit balance control.
  • Build data semantic layer, test, validate and present to analytical and reporting team.
  • Gather and coordinate metrics and develop and implement changes (per standard approval processes) so that the project can remain within scope, and within time, cost and quality objectives.
  • Create S/4 reports using Data Lake or DWH, in S/4 data models (RTR, OTC, PTP)
  • Apply problem-solving and analytical skills to conduct quality assurance testing on data from initial delivery to final merged product to ensure results are accurate and aligned with documented requirements.
  • Support skill development of team by sharing knowledge, developing, and sharing new technical skills, and providing guidance and mentorship to other team members.
  • Adhere to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures.
  • Understand relevant security, privacy and compliance principles and adhere to the regulations, standards, and procedures that are applicable to the Company.
  • Ensure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

What You Contribute

  • Masters’ Degree with relevant course work, with 8+ years of business experience leading analyses and initiatives with track record of business impact, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience creating S/4 HANA, modelling concepts, reports using Data Lake or DWH, understanding of SQL and joins is a must in S/4 data models (RTR, OTC, PTP)
  • 3+ years of experience in BI data visualization in Tableau
  • A solid technical understanding of ETL processes (Azure ADF, Dbt, Informatica, BODS), data analytics tools (PowerBI, Tableau), and their associated technologies
  • Strong project management skills in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Medical device, pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated industry experience desired
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize assignments while handling various projects simultaneously

Working Conditions

  • General office environment. Business travel from 0% - 10%. Potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens. Requires some lifting and moving of up to 25 pounds. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms, and to use a computer, sitting for extended periods. Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to read, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

    Starting Base Salary is $152,909/year - $237,220/year.       
    Individual compensation will vary over time-based on factors such as performance, skill level, competencies, work location and shift.
