The Role: Build, Improve, and Influence
This role sits within a cross-functional scrum team responsible for building and evolving business-critical systems. You’ll spend your time designing, building, and improving software, while also helping the team improve how that software gets built.
What You’ll Do:
· Design and build APIs, internal platforms, and business applications
· Contribute to design decisions, architecture discussions, and coding standards
· Work closely with engineers, QA, and product partners to deliver meaningful outcomes
· Improve existing systems by addressing technical debt, reliability issues, and team friction points
Tech & Environment
Most teams operate in a Microsoft-centric stack, with some variation:
· Backend: C#, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs
· Frontend: Angular and React (team dependent)
· Data: SQL Server, relational databases
· Cloud: Azure and cloud-hosted services
· Practices: CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code reviews
· Tools: GitHub Copilot, Git, Azure DevOps
You don’t need to know everything listed, but you should be comfortable working in modern application environments and picking up new technologies when needed.
Scope & Support
· Work happens within a scrum team model with clear ownership
· Teams are supported by DBAs, DevSecOps, and architecture partners
· Most impact is at the team level, with opportunities to influence more broadly over time
