Senior Software Engineer

- Design, develop, and deliver scalable software solutions that power real-time data platforms for global markets.
- Build and optimize APIs and data processing pipelines for high-volume, distributed, and multi-tenant systems.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams across Bangalore, Toronto, and other global locations to align on architecture and delivery.
- Contribute to platform strategy by defining technical specifications and participating in early-stage product and platform decisions.
- Stay ahead of technology trends and bring innovative thinking to the design and evolution of data streaming products.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on Core Java.
- Proven experience with cloud-native architectures, containerized applications, and distributed systems.
- Demonstrated ability to build and deploy production-grade systems using microservices and container orchestration platforms.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Hands-on experience with stream processing and event-driven technologies such as Apache Kafka or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with parallel computing or stream processing frameworks.
- Experience working in high-volume, low-latency, and highly available system environments.
This position will be located in Toronto, Canada, and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.

The base pay range for this role is $121,000 - $170,000. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth.
