Senior Staff Engineer, ERP Dynamics Functional (Finance)
TLDR
Lead large-scale Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance implementations across multiple countries, shaping finance processes, controls, and global ERP transformation.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the implementation, configuration, and ongoing enhancement of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Dynamics AX finance modules.
- Partner with finance leaders, business users, and project stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable ERP solutions.
- Configure and support core finance functions including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Budgeting and Forecasting, Bank and Cash Management, Project Costing, and Manufacturing Costing.
- Design and maintain financial structures such as Chart of Accounts, Financial Dimensions, Budget Frameworks, Account Structures, and reporting hierarchies.
- Drive multi-country deployments, upgrades, and global rollout initiatives across multiple legal entities.
- Facilitate business process reviews, discovery workshops, fit-gap analyses, and solution design sessions.
- Develop functional specifications, design documents, testing strategies, training materials, and process documentation.
- Support data migration, system testing, user acceptance testing, deployment activities, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Provide expertise in financial controls, taxation requirements, accounting standards, compliance frameworks, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams, project managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Conduct user training and knowledge transfer sessions to maximize adoption and operational effectiveness.
- Stay current with ERP innovations, Dynamics platform enhancements, and emerging finance transformation trends.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of professional experience with strong expertise as a Microsoft Dynamics AX or Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant.
- Deep understanding of finance and accounting processes, controls, and reporting frameworks.
- Hands-on experience across General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, Forecasting, Cash Management, Project Costing, and Manufacturing Costing.
- Strong expertise in Chart of Accounts configuration, Financial Dimensions, Budget Models, Financial Consolidations, Intercompany Accounting, and Financial Reporting.
- Knowledge of GAAP, accounting best practices, taxation policies, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience implementing finance solutions within manufacturing, production, retail, or similarly complex industries.
- Proven track record delivering at least 4–5 end-to-end Dynamics AX or Dynamics 365 Finance implementations.
- Experience supporting multi-country rollouts and global ERP transformation programs involving multiple legal entities.
- Strong skills in business analysis, requirements gathering, solution design, documentation, testing, and stakeholder management.
- Ability to prepare functional design documents, gap analyses, training materials, and business process documentation.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, presentation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience delivering projects using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant certification is preferred.
- Experience working within large-scale global ERP transformation initiatives is considered an advantage.
