In addition, our team provides fully managed Value-Added Services (VAS) solutions to multiple carriers.

This role reports into the Director Product and Technology at RealNetworks, a TransUnion company and will form part of a small team of strong but very capable tech team based in Salzburg, Austria.



Role Overview And Core Responsibilities

  • You will install, configure, and maintain servers/VMs and Linux operating systems (Debian, Ubuntu, etc.).

  • You will use a configuration management and automation tool to manage servers, enforce system configurations, and automate repetitive tasks.

  • You will monitor system performance and uptime.

  • You will apply security patches and software updates.

  • You will troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.

  • You will manage backups, disaster recovery, and data integrity.

  • You will support network infrastructure alongside the network administrators.

  • You will support databases alongside DBAs.

  • You will enforce security policies and compliance.

  • You will be handling on-call duty every couple of weeks.


Required Knowledge And Experiences

  • Educational background in IT

  • Track record of experience as a Linux systems administrator

  • Experience in Linux administration (Debian, Ubuntu); virtualization (e.g. Xen); scripting; web servers and application servers (Apache, Tomcat, HA Proxy); storage systems (e.g. GlusterFS); configuration management and automation (e.g. Puppet)

  • Knowledge of SQL databases (MySQL, MariaDB incl. Galera Cluster, PostgreSQL)

  • Good English communication skills, both written and spoken; strong team player mentality and excellent people skills

Required Technical Skills

  • Cloud (AWS – Amazon Web Services)

  • DevOps

  • Terraform

  • ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library)

  • Scrum or Kanban; technical project management

The minimum salary for this position, according to the Austrian collective bargaining agreement, is EUR 3,954.00 per month for a full-time employment. Depending on professional experience and/or qualifications, your actual salary is intended to be significantly higher.
