Site Reliability Engineer

Salary of position

€71.5k - €83.5k depending on home location and assessed skill level!

Pleo’s engineering culture is at an exciting time of transition. In the past, we built and shipped as quickly as humanly possible, like any funded tech startup. But then 2022 happened, and now we’re very much focused on looking at improving the quality of our products. Stuff we’re currently working on:

Most of the team is super hard at work on implementing FluxCD into our software development lifecycle! We’ve built a beautiful solution and tackled years worth of tech debt in the process. Now we’re starting to see the rewards of having a GitOps process in place.

We’re building out new Kubernetes environments for various use cases! Right now, that means we’re focused on improving the usage of our dev environment by making it easier for developers to test their applications on, and regularly sanitising the staging environment’s data so that it can consistently represent production systems!

Our final focus for the team is on making our Istio API Gateway easy to use for our developers here at Pleo. Istio is a wonderful but complicated tool. We want to abstract all of the fine-grained knobs and options and just provide them with a simple interface for choosing which frontend routes map to which backend routes.
