You'll be working with customers of our API and Snowflake offerings to advise on solution
design and enable implementation by managing credentials and liaising with engineering where
necessary. Seeking to understand customer aims and use cases you will seek to define problems and
design efficient solutions, working with sales and account management colleagues to manage
the technical aspects of customer relationships through implementation of their solutions.
This is a remote position based in either the UK or Milan. The selected candidate will be expected to visit the office monthly.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the sales process by explaining and demonstrating the capabilities of our API and Snowflake offerings.
- Define the scope of customer requirements during the sales process, by understanding customers’ aims and how our offerings can support them.
- Produce scripts (typically in Python) to pull data from APIs and Snowflake as Proofs of Concepts for customers and to produce data for customer or consulting requirements.
- Advise customers on how they can build API workflows to achieve their objectives, liaise with engineering colleagues as necessary to resolve technical questions.
- Advise sales and account management colleagues on the options available in meeting customer requirements, and the cost and pricing implications of different routes.
- Be an expert in the range of datasets and services available through APIs and Snowflake environment, and how this evolves over time.
- Manage customer access and credentials to API and Snowflake environments.
- Assist in other roles that will complement Lightcast’s and the Global BU’s success.
Experience and Education:
- At least 2 years experience in a relevant role (solution consultant, sales engineer)
- English language to a high level of proficiency; additional European language desirable
- Knowledge of Python and SQL
- Experience in working with data APIs (Snowflake desirable)
- Experience in a Data as a Service business environment desirable
