Solutions Engineer - Remote Friendly
About the Role
To ensure success as a solutions engineer, you should have in-depth knowledge of SaaS business applications, a passion for helping customers, and high-level communications skills. Ultimately, a top-notch solutions engineer plays an integral role in driving a seamless implementation process for our new customers.
What you'll be doing:
- Collaborate with Implementation Managers and conduct discovery with customer’s business and engineering team
- Meet with clients to discuss their business requirements and platform needs
- Strategize with the Implementation team to create a solution that fits customers transaction monitoring, and KYC needs.
- Work closely with Implementation Managers for technical support (front-end and back-end: data structure and integration, APIs and product knowledge
- Provide guidance and solutions that achieves a meaningful & holistic set up between client’s requirements and Unit21’s platform
- Provide client support for data mapping and recommendations based on client business models/needs
- Provide best practices on different technical aspects: APIs, data integration points, configurations and settings
- Resolve inbound inquiries related to data and user issues during implementation
- Provide clients with training & guidance on platform components
- Provide supplemental support with the sales team as technical point of contact (occasional)
- Articulate customer’s business and technical use case with internal product managers and engineers and collaborate with them to materialize new technical solutions.
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering.
- 4+ years of experience as an solutions engineer
- Familiarity with SaaS business software systems.
- Ability to create big-picture software solutions
- Ability to break down technical points into easily understandable points for customers
- Ability to provide consultation with authority, have passion for problem solving and devising viable solutions
- Previous engineering experience in modern programming languages (Python, Javascript, Typescript, Scala, etc.),
- Knowledge of ETL pipelines, stream processing architecture, relational databases, scalable systems, synchronous/asynchronous job processing, software design patterns, batch processing frameworks, Postman
- Fintech knowledge is a plus!
- This role is remote and works in the US East Coast Time Zone
