Sr. Product Analyst
Accountabilities:
- Act as the primary analytics partner to the Product team, translating product questions into structured analyses that inform roadmap and feature decisions
- Own the end-to-end Mixpanel implementation, including instrumentation strategy, event taxonomy, tracking standards, and debugging
- Design, build, and maintain product KPI dashboards and analytical models to track activation, engagement, retention, and feature adoption
- Analyze customer behavior to uncover insights around usage patterns, friction points, activation drivers, and retention levers
- Design and evaluate experiments (A/B tests), including defining success metrics, ensuring statistical rigor, and documenting learnings
- Partner with Data Engineering to ensure product event data and customer signals are properly modeled and accessible in analytical layers
- Translate analytical findings into clear, narrative-driven recommendations for Product Managers and leadership
- Establish and maintain documentation for metrics definitions, event schemas, and analytical standards to ensure consistency across teams
- 3–5 years of experience in product analytics, product data science, or a similar SaaS-focused analytics role
- Strong SQL skills with experience working on event-based datasets, dimensional models, and time-series data
- Hands-on experience with Mixpanel, including instrumentation design, event taxonomy, funnels, cohorts, and retention analysis
- Proven experience designing and analyzing A/B tests with understanding of statistical concepts such as significance, power, and MDE
- Strong product intuition with the ability to distinguish between interesting data and decision-driving insights
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable narratives for product teams
- Self-directed working style with the ability to define priorities in partnership with Product stakeholders
- Experience in SaaS, PLG environments, or customer-facing product analytics is highly valuable
