Sr. Technical Product Manager - Shared Services
TLDR
Leads the roadmap and delivery of scalable, self-serve shared platform capabilities (RBAC, APIs, automation) to boost efficiency and developer productivity across healthcare data teams.
- Define and lead the roadmap for shared platform capabilities including configuration systems, RBAC, APIs, file transport, reporting layers, and internal tooling.
- Drive the transformation toward self-serve systems enabling operations, support, implementation, and client teams to reduce engineering dependency.
- Own internal automation and AI-agent enablement initiatives to streamline workflows such as triage, troubleshooting, and configuration management.
- Design and improve access control systems, including RBAC, authentication flows, audit logging, and data privacy safeguards.
- Oversee SFTP and file transport infrastructure, ensuring secure, scalable, and standardized data exchange mechanisms.
- Develop reporting and data access frameworks, including data models, export APIs, and analytics-ready layers.
- Partner with engineering and SRE teams to ensure reliability, scalability, performance, and observability of shared services.
- Define metrics to measure platform success, including adoption, self-serve usage, ticket deflection, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, support, and product teams to prioritize and deliver platform initiatives.
- 7+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years focused on platform, infrastructure, backend, or developer tooling products.
- Strong technical fluency in APIs, microservices, cloud infrastructure, authentication systems, and workflow automation.
- Experience building self-serve platforms, internal tools, or enterprise-grade backend systems.
- Solid understanding of RBAC, OAuth/SSO, audit logging, and secure system design principles.
- Ability to translate complex operational workflows into scalable and reusable platform capabilities.
- Strong data literacy, including SQL knowledge and familiarity with reporting models and data quality concepts.
- Experience collaborating deeply with engineering teams on architecture, scalability, and performance trade-offs.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical teams in fast-paced environments.
