  • Create engaging displays that enable the customer to visualize their own home spaces
  • Drive Visual Merchandising standards to ensure store implementation and act as the definitive guide on the store's overall visual merchandising approach.
  • Drive customer awareness through compelling presentations while delivering on sales goals.
  • Develop and execute seasonal strategies across key departments.
  • Drive execution consistency across all zones of business.
  • Ability to bring thought leadership and subject matter expertise in a Visual Merchandising capacity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop visual materials (i.e., signing, brand messaging, product awareness etc.) in support of merchandising strategies
  • Develop and implement the Visual Merchandising playbook for the Wayfair Brand.
  • Liaise with other internal partners, including merchant team, marketing team, operations, etc.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop standardization of product training tools.
  • Maintain standardized timeline and process for key stakeholders to ensure alignment within all cross-functional partners and business needs.
  • Keep abreast of industry and market trends, research lifestyle and design trends that will inform the in-store presentation strategy, and keep Wayfair competitive and relevant in our ever-evolving retail landscape.
  • Participate in seasonal floor set process.

What You’ll Need:

  • Physical retail experience required, with preferred experience in standing up a retail store program
  • 5+ years of Visual Merchandising Leadership experience
  • Strong business management skills; demonstrated ability to lead important strategic initiatives and multitask
  • Demonstrable visual design skills with a strong retail merchandising portfolio
  • Knowledge of current Visual Merchandising trends and best practices
  • Passion for knowledge, including latest technologies, techniques, materials, and trends in retail, creative and visual merchandising
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud Software and G Suite
  • Proven team management and leadership skills; can inspire and motivate teams to bring future state vision to life
  • Able to collaborate across all levels of the organization to achieve objectives
  • Adaptability to organizational changes and complex structures
  • A high degree of integrity and confidence in one's abilities as a business and visual leader
  • Evidence of "scrappy startup execution" and a "get it done" attitude when time is tight, and stakes are high
