About the job

The SSL Marketing Procurement Business Partner, within the International Business Growth (IBG) Procurement Organization, reports to the SSL procurement head and is responsible for the strategy definition and execution of the assigned categories within SSL Marketing Procurement working alongside with Digital and Traditional Media, Creative & Production Agencies, Offline Promotion and Acquisition, BTL and Public relations suppliers and stakeholders to achieve best in class services and strategic objectives. 

This role will develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships and contract management to deliver continuous improvement in the delivery of goods and services by the supply base and also will develop category strategies and plans for the region with stakeholders and make sure the plans support DiDi’s business strategy. It will have high visibility across all the company’s areas and internal stakeholders and will support users to ensure adherence to DiDi’s Procurement Policy and processes. 
 

What you will be doing:

  • Support the development from scratch of categories under his accountability.
  • Develop a regional perspective considering specific realities of the countries within the region.
  • Position self as a liaison between Stakeholders and Regional Procurement Leads
  • Work in a regional matrix function with accountability for managing the key regional relationships with different stakeholders, aligning interests, and building alliances
  • Lead regional sourcing for most relevant categories and support procurement processes of categories that are negotiated locally ensuring compliance to procurement policy standards 
  • Assess the supply market regionally designing solutions that attend global standards
  • Develop category strategies/plans for the region
  • Understand the market, the suppliers, technologies, pricing, processes, and future developments and ensure upper quartile performance
  • Understand what DiDi is buying and how much of it. Understand why DiDi is buying and what can be done to reduce the spend
  • Reduce regional costs by changing specifications, processes, supply chains, supplier performance, and innovation 
  • Seek for spend consolidation within the region
  • Use a common sourcing process established by the regional Procurement policy
  • Execute regional sourcing processes
  • Prepare presentations and analysis for reporting on Procurement performance in global/regional/local meetings  The Successful applicant:
  •   Marketing Strategic Sourcing Experience (Digital and Traditional Media, Creative & Production Agencies, Offline Promotion and Acquisition, BTL and Public relation).

What does the successful applicant look like:

  • Marketing Strategic Sourcing Experience (Digital and Traditional Media, Creative & Production Agencies, Offline Promotion and Acquisition, BTL and Public relation) 
  • Graduated Business, Administration, Commerce, Economics or Engineering degrees.
  • Proven credentials in Procurement processes (strategic sourcing, negotiations, contract management, TCO decisions) on a regional/multi-countries level
  • Excellent written/verbal communication
  • Quantitative and analytic profile
  • Strong sense of ethics and compliance
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Fluent English and Spanish; Portuguese desirable.
  • Advanced MS/Office components (particularly Excel and PowerPoint) .
  • Desirable experience managing Indirect Procurement Categories (Marketing, Facilities, Infrastructure, Real Estate, etc.).
