Supervisor, Applications Engineering

TLDR

Provide on-site technical support and pre-sales enablement for advanced metrology solutions, building customer relationships and driving product penetration through technical briefings and papers.

Job Summary & Responsibilities

The Applications Scientist will provide technical on-site support to enlarge POR share, develop and maintain positive relationship with customers and will bridge new product penetration, support pre-sales efforts with technical presentations, BKM and white papers.

Roles And Responsibilities:
• Initiates the design, development, execution and implementation of scientific research projects.
• Investigates the feasibility of applying scientific principles and concepts to potential inventions and products.
• Plans and executes laboratory research.
• Maintains substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories, and may contribute to scientific literature and conferences.
• Participate in development of patent applications.
• Coordinate interdepartmental activities and research efforts.

Qualifications

• More than 2 years working experience in semiconductor metrology area is preferred
• Fresh B.S./M.S. in Engineering Sciences, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Applied Sciences
• Fluency in both written and Spoken English required
• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
• Ability to deliver effective technical presentations to internal and external audiences
• Experience with computational-based modeling
• Knowledge of statistics, and design of experiments
• Knowledge of basic semiconductor device physics
• Knowledge of numerical analysis, mathematical optimization is a plus
• Experience with semiconductor fabrication and process integration is a plus.
