Surfacing Artist (Animation)

We are hiring Surfacing Artists to work on our feature and episodic animation productions. As a Surfacing Artist you will work within our Asset team to create the textures and surface qualities needed for the completion of CG Characters and hard-surface models. You will work closely with Art Directors, Modellers, Surfacing Lead and Head of Assets to achieve the desired looks of assets for production, maintaining the consistent high level of work while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Professional experience as a Surfacing Artist for animation.
• Experience working on high quality shading, surfacing and texturing for organic elements
• Attention to details in textures and materials
• Proficient in Mari, Zbrush, Photoshop, BodyPaint, Substance Painter and Designer
• A good understanding of material properties with regards to shading
• Surfacing showreel, ideally with descriptive break down
