About the Opportunity
As a Talent Acquisition Lead, your time will be divided as follows
- UK-based recruitment: 60%
- Talent attraction and employer brand: 20%
- Planning, monitoring and reporting: 10%
- Evaluation and continual improvement: 5%
- Compliance/general administration: 5%
Reporting: You will report to the UK HR Lead and be matrixed to the Global Head of People.
Time Allocation: 90% of your time will be spent in office, with 10% in domestic travel (for campus recruitment).
Key Responsibilities
Talent Attraction and Employer Brand
- Utilize both innovative and traditional sourcing techniques in order to build a talent pipeline of active and passive candidates who are engaged with the Prescient Mission and Values, through optimization of a variety of channels. This may include job posting optimization, candidate engagement via social media, job board procurement, digital and non-digital employment marketing, recruitment campaign planning, partnerships with organizations/educational institutions, attending events/careers fairs and networking where appropriate, etc.
- Headhunt for candidates as required.
- Assist the Business Leadership and Global Head of People with succession planning where required.
UK-based Recruitment
- Ensure high standards of recruitment throughout the UK business that reflect the Prescient Values and brand, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
- Promote and drive direct external recruitment and referrals. Minimize use of agencies.
- Manage the requisition and approval process and ensure it is followed throughout the UK business.
- Record vacancies and recruitment progress, updating Recruiterbox (ATS) accordingly.
- Collaborate with UK-based hiring managers to design clear job descriptions and person specifications that are detailed and attractive to potential candidates, identifying must-haves and nice-to-haves.
- Manage applicant enquiries internally and externally.
- Manage the UK operations recruitment process and life cycle. Design, plan and execute selection processes (arrange and conduct screening calls and face-to-face interviews, recommend appropriate tests/structure for interview with hiring managers, administer psychometric tests as required, etc.)
- Co-ordinate UK-based recruitment agency activity and be the point of contact. Develop relationships with third-party recruitment agencies.
- Present/confirm offers of employment to selected candidates and negotiate details with them.
Planning, Monitoring and Reporting
- Work with the appropriate UK leadership to forecast staffing needs.
- Devise appropriate metrics and deliver weekly recruitment KPIs/dashboard to the relevant Business leads and Global Head of People, monitoring results and highlighting any trends in relation to number of applicants and hires, diversity mix, etc.
- Conduct competitor benchmarking on talent attraction and recruitment processes.
- Provide recruitment guidance and feedback to UK hiring managers with hiring and employment data.
Evaluation and Continual Improvement
- Improve the UK recruitment process by conducting candidate experience surveys.
- Foster communication and feedback about performance, selection processes and staffing metrics.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the recruitment processes and give feedback that will assist in developing more effective solutions for the future.
- Regularly review the direction and strategy of recruitment with the HR Team and key internal stakeholders.
Compliance/General Administration
- Ensure Prescient is legally compliant in its UK recruitment and selection processes, including proof of right to work in the UK.
- Keep up to date on related legislation.
- Identify, plan and attend appropriate recruitment fairs where relevant.
- Utilize, manage and optimize use of Prescient’s ATS system (Recruiterbox).
Required Experience and Skills
- 5+ years’ experience in a talent acquisition role (or similar).
- Recruitment experience within a multi-site, client-focused business, preferably from a life sciences, pharma or consulting background, or experience as an in-house or agency recruiter with responsibility for looking after a full recruitment process).
- Proven experience of designing recruitment activities and the candidate experience to positively impact employer brand.
- Hands-on experience of sourcing candidates from a variety of channels (LinkedIn and other social media, job boards, events, etc.).
- Experience with HRIS, ATS, sourcing and recruitment marketing tools.
- Up-to-date employment law knowledge in relation to recruitment and selection.
