As we continue to scale globally, we're looking for someone to lead tech recruitment for the Octopus Energy Group but there's a few things you should know...
You’ll have a lead role in growing our tech teams. Your role will range from ensuring we're maintaining the best candidate experience from managing and screening applications and how we attract candidates.
You've led a team ideally. You will help to grow our team of tech recruiters and lead this team.
You’ve a burning desire to turn your skills to something meaningful. You enjoy the pace of the commercial world, but you want to be delivering something more sustainable to the world.
We don't use agencies. We've a team of great internal recruiters. We do everything from advertising to headhunting. You could say, in fact, that we’re half agency, but we’re your best ever client, the one you secretly yearned to work at.
This will be a senior role and looking after Octopus Energy's tech growth globally.
About our Tech
On the server-side, we mainly use Python. Most of our websites are powered by Django, Django-REST-framework and GraphQL (Graphene).
Client-side, we use React, Redux and SASS; our mobile apps are built using native code or React Native.
What you'll do
- Partner with different tech teams to understand what we're looking for across different teams and areas
- Proactively source for key tech roles using our tools and any other creative ways of searching you come up with
- Ensure the best candidate experience whilst working with multiple roles at the same time
- Manage our tech recruiters
- Look at different ways to build diverse talent pipelines that support with your sourcing campaigns
- As we enter new countries and new technologies you will work with the teams to establish a recruitment strategy
- Deliver overall recruitment strategy alongside our head of talent acquisition
What you'll need
- In-depth knowledge of tech recruitment
- Knowledge of different tech stacks
- Ideally experience hiring in global markets
- Knowledge of recruitment advertising platforms and sourcing tools for tech roles
- Previous experience in a fast paced scaling environment
- Be very organised - have strong time management and prioritising skills, good attention to detail, able to and able to deliver to tight deadlines
- To be comfortable working with some ambiguity; enjoy mucking in and wearing multiple hats
- To be a strong team player
