Internal Title: Staff Product Manager
 
Position Summary: 
 
The Technical Product/Program Manager will serve as a critical liaison between the Product Management and Development teams, ensuring that business and product objectives are effectively translated into technical requirements. This role requires a technical understanding of graphQL and other EVgo development languages, strong analytical skills, and the ability to drive collaboration between stakeholders to deliver scalable and high-quality solutions. 

Responsibilities:  
  • Product Strategy & Roadmap: Work with Product Management to understand product requirements and ensure that the existing development efforts are in alignment with product vision, strategy, and roadmap. 
  • Technical Translation: Act as the primary bridge between Product and Development teams, translating business needs into clear technical specifications and user stories, including creating tickets, conveying priority in sprints, and documenting any gaps between SRDs and PRDs. 
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams including design, product, development, and Sr. leadership to ensure seamless product development and successful delivery.  
  • Backlog Management: Support sprint planning and grooming to aid in prioritizing features, enhancements, and technical debt, and help maintain a clear and well-structured product backlog. 
  • Development Coordination: Work closely with engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility, clarify requirements, and remove roadblocks to execution. Support any documentation needs regarding releases and bugs.  
  • Risk Management: Identify potential technical and business risks, suggest mitigation strategies as needed. 
  • Project Delivery: Support the delivery of assigned projects including working through bugs, suggesting workarounds, and providing impact assessment for any major roadblocks.  
Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience. Some barriers to entry exist at this level, requiring department review.
Desired Skills:
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of APIs, graphQL, cloud platforms, data architecture, and software development methodologies.
  • Project Management: Experience with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaboration Skills: Proven ability to align product and engineering teams to drive project success.
  • Tools: Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, SQL, and data visualization tools. 
For job positions in CA, CO, and NYC, the estimated salary range for a new hire in this position is $128,200.00 USD to  $160,200.00 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition to a competitive base salary, discretionary target cash bonus, and restricted stock units (subject to Board Approval).
