R2

Technical Program Manager (LatAm Only)

TLDR

Lead mission-critical initiatives focused on designing and optimizing complex workflows that power R2’s financial infrastructure, driving cross-functional system design.

At R2, we believe that small and medium businesses are the productive engine of society. Small and medium businesses (SMBs) make up over 90% of companies in Latin America, yet they face a trillion-dollar credit gap. Our mission is to unlock SMBs’ potential by providing financial solutions tailored to their needs. We are reimagining the financial infrastructure of Latin America, where SMBs’ financial needs are met without ever having to go to a bank.

R2 enables platforms across Latin America to embed financial services that SMBs can leverage, starting with revenue-based financing. We are a high-performing, close-knit team with talent from organizations such as Google, Amazon, Nubank, Uber, Capital One, Mercado Libre, Globant, and J.P. Morgan.

We are entering a new phase of growth following a strategic investment from Ant International, focused on rapidly expanding our partner footprint, strengthening our credit and underwriting capabilities, and scaling operations across multiple markets. As part of this growth journey, eligible team members have the opportunity to participate in R2’s Phantom Share Program, a performance-based incentive designed to align our team with the company’s long-term success and value creation. We believe in building a culture of ownership, where those who help create value share meaningfully in it.

We are seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) with deep expertise in data and systems orchestration to lead mission-critical initiatives across R2. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing complex workflows that power R2’s financial infrastructure. The TPM will prioritize and unblock key data engineering workflows, drive cross-functional system design, establish KPIs to measure progress and communicate progress on technical plans across internal stakeholders.

What You'll Do:

  • Own data availability across R2, ensuring teams actively leverage queries, dashboards, and alerts
  • Manage week-to-week prioritization for Data Engineering and Data Science by identifying dependencies, removing roadblocks, and aligning with OKRs
  • Lead the implementation and integration of scalable systems (e.g., ERP) to automate financial workflows and reporting
  • Automate and optimize core processing systems, including real-time payment flows
  • Improve cross-functional integration workflows, including QA of underwriting systems, Risk analyses, and partner offer generation timelines
  • Define and track technical KPIs, providing clear reporting on project progress, system performance, and business impact

What We're Looking For:

  • 2-4+ years of experience in technical program management, focusing on data-intensive products/programs and systems architecture in fintech, SaaS, or large-scale technology platforms
  • Strong understanding of event-driven architectures, real-time processing, and financial data automation
  • Fluency in SQL, Python, or other scripting languages to query and optimize data workflows
  • Ability to translate and execute complex technical solutions into clear roadmaps for business and engineering stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in large-scale, data-intensive environments
  • Track record of working with data teams on SCRUM, prioritization, integration, and scaling infrastructure
  • Background in fintech payments, ledger systems, or high-frequency data workflows
  • Expertise in data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Prefect, Dagster) and cloud-based data infrastructures (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Familiarity with multi-country payment automation and banking integrations
  • Expertise in financial data reconciliation and payment risk management processes

What We Offer:

  • The chance to join a high-impact, mission-driven fintech with regional scale
  • Leadership over enterprise controls for a fast-paced and growth-oriented startup
  • Cross-functional collaboration with exceptional teams across Latin America
  • Equipment provided by R2
  • Training budget for professional development
  • Career growth within R2

Location: Buenos Aires, Argentina, Santiago de Chile or São Paulo Brazil.
