Technical QA Automation Engineer

TLDR

Lead automation and performance testing across Agile projects, using Java/Python/JavaScript with Selenium/Playwright/Cucumber to ensure non-functional requirements.

What will you contribute?


Reporting to the Manager, the Technical QA Automation Engineer will work closely with development engineering and product development teams to understand the performance and other non-functional requirements on projects.  This position requires a highly motivated individual that is comfortable with rapid changes in direction and a fluid environment.  The successful candidate should be detail-oriented, approachable, dependable, and reliable with good business sense and judgment.  This position requires a self-starter with the ability to manage & prioritize multiple concurrent automation and performance testing projects.

Disclaimer-

Finastra has signed an agreement to sell its Universal Banking business to Pollen Street Capital, with completion expected end 2026 / early 2027, subject to consultation and customary closing conditions. Upon completion, this role is expected to transition to the standalone Universal Banking business, creating opportunities to support its future growth and success.

Responsibilities & Deliverables:

  • BE / BTech in Computer Science, Electronics, or related engineering discipline.
    2–4 years of hands-on experience in Software Quality Assurance.
    Good working knowledge of Java or Python or JavaScript (any one).
    Proficient in at least one test automation framework - Selenium/Playwright/Cucumber.
    Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases.
    Hands-on experience working in Agile / Scrum development environments

  • Good to Have:
    Banking or Financial Services domain experience.
    Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
    Experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure).
    Exposure to AI-assisted or agentic testing tools and modern QA automation approaches.
