JOB PURPOSE
The Technical Services Manager, is a key leadership role within PHINIA’s Technical Services team, responsible for aligning and supporting best business practices across technical training, technical product support, and internal technical projects.Working across multiple Central Eastern European markets, this role ensures consistent delivery of high-quality technical services that drive customer confidence, product understanding, and aftermarket success. With a focus on team leadership, operational alignment, and strategic execution, the Technical Manager will play a central role in strengthening PHINIA reputation as a trusted brand.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and implement regional strategies for technical training and support in alignment with Delphi Academy and Technical Services objectives.
- Lead and support a geographically dispersed team of Technical Trainers and Support Specialists, ensuring consistent performance and professional development.
- Collaborate with national teams, sales, product management and engineering to ensure training and support offerings are technically accurate and commercially relevant.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for training delivery, support response and technical data quality.
Technical Training Oversight
- Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality technical training across Central Eastern Europe, including classroom, practical, and e-learning formats.
- Promote standardisation and continuous improvement of training content, methodology, and delivery tools across all regions.
- Support the localisation of training programmes to meet country-specific needs without compromising technical consistency.
Technical Support & Data Capture
- Oversee the regional technical helpdesk and support activities, ensuring timely and effective responses to customer queries across diagnostics, repair, and product use.
- Lead the development and improvement of technical service documentation and support materials.
- Champion technical data capture initiatives from the field, feeding real-world insights back into product development and service teams.
- Ensure accurate logging, categorisation, and resolution of technical enquiries to build a structured knowledge base.
Collaboration & Representation
- Act as a senior technical representative for Western Europe in internal and external engagements, including customer meetings, trade events, and technical partnerships.
- Collaborate with other regional technical managers to share best practices, align on global initiatives, and ensure regional needs are represented at the strategic level.
What we’re looking for
Required
- 8+ years of experience in the automotive aftermarket technical field, including diagnostics, product support, and/or training
- Strong leadership and team management skills across multi-country or regional teams
- Proven ability to develop, align, and execute strategy in a cross-functional environment
- In-depth knowledge of modern vehicle systems and diagnostic processes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with a focus on data-driven decision making
- Familiarity with CRM/ticketing systems, e-learning platforms, and technical documentation standard
Preferred
- Experience of working in a global and cross matrix organization
- Technical understanding of Automotive Industry and Aftermarket
