Reporting to the Head of Virtual Production, the Technology Development Project Manager manages day-to-day operations of the Virtual Production Technology Roadmap, coordinating cross-functional development teams effectively and in accordance with the different Productions’ requirements. We look for clear communicators who demonstrate a high level of organization and a very proactive and positive attitude.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produces and maintains roadmaps for technology development (Workflow, R&D, and Software) teams and ensures that Productions’ needs are met as the roadmap evolves
- Works with Eyeline leadership team to define goals and objectives, overseeing the daily tasks for specific projects or new initiatives
- Creates and maintains technology development project documentation, runs regular project check-ins, gathers project updates and reports on progress
- Creates and communicates technology development project budgets to ensure funds and crew are available for new technology development projects
- Communicates any schedule changes to appropriate stakeholders and escalates to the management team if needed
- Manages members of the technology development production team, ensuring their workload is appropriate and providing guidance and training
- Maintains and manages purchase budgets for R&D efforts
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Deep understanding of software project life cycles from planning to MVP development to final development and support
- Deep understanding of JIRA ticketing and project management systems
- Deep understanding of Confluence of similar documentation tools
- Comfortable working with software developers with an understanding of typical coding terminologies
- Bonus: Familiarity with VFX workflows
- Bonus: Familiarity with Virtual Production workflows and terminology
- Big Bonus: Experience writing code
